SABALA is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the Empowerment of Women and Children, based in arid District of Bijapur of North Karnataka in South India. Set up in 1986, SABALA is working with widows, destitutes, tribals, Physically Challenged Girls & Women and economically backward women.

SABALA has created a Platform to Rehabilitate Landless and Houseless People of Almatti Dam Submerged Villages.

SABALA established Craft Development Centre in 1998 to :

Revive the Traditional Craft

Promote self employment in order to Check the migration

Provide Marketing Facilities to ensure regular income and sustainability.

Develop entrepreneurship quality among artisans

Protection of Child Rights

Capacity Building and Networking of Artisans.
